CREW

If you want to be involved but don't want to be in the show , you can sign up for crew. It's a lot less of a commitment timewise and very needed!
No need to audition but I'd love to meet you so drop by one of the auditions and sign up on the crew list and say hello.
Crew will not be called upon to do anything until close to the show, so if you sign up don't expect to hear much until sometime late in May.
Do let me know what area you're interested in, but also be flexible to be placed where you are most needed.
Areas are ;
Costuming-
Set and Props- We may need help finding set pieces, and maybe some building and painting before the show, and we'll need lots of help during production to move set pieces and make sure props are where they need to be.
The Booth- We may need help in the booth with lighting, sound, backdrop slides, etc.
Mics- This is a big one! We always need help here because our mic plotting is generally complex.

If you want to be on crew but can't make it to any of the auditions please send an email with your area of interest to;
CCHSdrama828@gmail.com

Commitment- rehearsal schedule

At the start of every show I get questions about the schedule and time commitment to the show.
Because auditions are not static and individual schedules change we can't give hard answers to exactly when students are required to be at rehearsal but anyone who's worked with me had learned that I have been extremely flexible with individual requests.
Having said that it's important that  if you take a role in cast or crew know that you are committing to a team and good character requires that you follow through with your commitments.
Rehearsals will generally be 3-4 days a week (approx. 2 hour rehearsals)  during the first  few weeks, (booked  Tues -Sat,  based onstudent availability).
As the show gets closer we will bump up to more days per week.
The two weeks before opening rehearsals will be 5 days a week and possibly a Sat.  Tech week (opening week)will require at least two 4-5 hour session (usually Monday night, meals provided for $5). And students are required to be available for all performances (some crew may be given excuses if needed).
I know that there are athletic conflicts and home school students may need different hours so sometime we may call a rehearsal that starts later to accommodate various schedule needs.

We make it work!
Hope this helps
